Fredagen den 8 november kan du fira fredag och samtidigt höra henne samtala om sitt arbete och arkitekturens betydelse med arkitekten och konstnären Katarina Bonnevier. Inspirerande finfredag helt enkelt!
Samtalet är på engelska och börjar 17.30

SUAD AMIRY
Suad Amiry är grundaren av Riwaq, Center for Architectural Conservation är i Sverige för att ta emot Museum Horizons internationella museipris 2013. Suad Amiry växte upp i Amman, Damaskus, Beirut och Kairo. Hon utbildade sig till arkitekt vid American University i Beirut och vid University of Michigan. Efter doktorsexamen vid University of Edinburgh flyttade hon till Ramallah 1981 och undervisade där vid Birzeit universitetet. Tio år senare, 1991, grundade hon Riwaq Centre for Architectural Conservation i Ramallah, tillsammans med Nazmi Al Jubeh, professor i historia vid Birzeit. Fram till 2011 var hon direktör för Riwaq. Då lämnade hon över ledarskapet till Fida Touma och Khaldun Bshar, men kvarstår som en av de 15 i teamet. Hon har skrivit och varit redaktör för ett antal fackböcker om palestinsk arkitektur och kultur. År 2003 publicerades hennes första skönlitterära bok, Sharon and my Mother-in-law, som översatts till 16 språk. Sedan dess har hon skrivit ytterligare tre skönlitterära böcker.
KATARINA BONNEVIER
Katarina Bonnevier är arkitekt och konstnär. Hon forskar kring Critical Fictions på Arkitektur och designcentrum, undervisar på Konstfack, KTH, Köpenhamns Konstakademi mfl. Disputerade 2007 med Behind Straight Curtains; Towards a Queer Feminist Theory of Architecture, Axl Books. Hon är aktuell som programledare för radioprogrammet Fasad, P1 (producerat av Filt). Utställningar, scenografi och performance i urval: Låt maten tysta mun, teater Unga Klara, 2012, Galleri 54, 2012, Sexuality at Home, Bartlett, 2012 och Exclude me in för Göteborgs Konstbiennal, 2013. Katarina Bonnevier är också del av samarbetsprojektet Mycket.

The Palestinian architect and founder of Riwaq, Center for Architectural Conservation is visiting Sweden to pick up the prize for the 2013 Museum Horizon international museum prize. November 8th you have the possibility of having a cosy autumn friday and listen to the conversation between her and the architect and artist Katarina Bonnevier. A fab Friday coming up!
The conversation will be held in English and starts at 17.30.

SUAD AMIRY
Suad Amiry, grew up in Amman, Damascus, Beirut and Kairo. She studied architecture at the American University in Beirut and at University of Michigan.After her Ph.D. at the University of Edinburgh she moved to Ramallah in 1981 to take up a position as teacher at the university in Birzeit. Ten years later she founded Riwaq Centre for Architectural Conservation,Ramallah together with Nazmi Al Jubeh, professor of history at Birzeit. She was director of Riwaq until 2011 when she handed over to Fida Touma and Khaldun Bshara, but she continues to be one of the team of 15 members. She has written and edited several non-fiction books on Palestine architecture and culture. In 2003 she published her first collection of short stories, “Sharon and my Mother-in-law”, translated into 16 languages, also Swedish. Since then she has written another three books of fiction.
KATARINA BONNEVIER
Katarina Bonnevier, architect and artist is a researcher in Critical Fictions at the Arkitektur och designscentrum. She teaches at Konstfack, KTH, Copenhagen art academy etc. Her phd Behind Staight Curtains; Towards a Queer Feminist Theory of Architecture is published at Axl Books. She is the host of the radioshow Fasad produced by Filt for the Swedish Radio. A sample of her exhibitions, scenography and performances: Låt maten tysta mun, Teater Unga Klara, 2012, Galleri 54, 2012 och Sexuality at Home, Bartlett, 2012 and Exclude me in, Göteborg Interational Biennial for Contemporary Art, 2013. She is part of the collaborative project Mycket.
